Sidebar Overview

Sidebars are vertical columns for displaying information, separate from the main content of the web page. Wolmart offers a very easy way to add left, right or dual sidebars to any pages of your web site. You can show your content by adding widgets to widget area. If you want to use another sidebar for the other pages, or custom post type pages, it’s also possible by using sidebars builder and layout builder.

1. Sidebars provided by Wolmart

Shop sidebar for all shop pages
Blog sidebar for all blog pages
Store sidebars for vendor store pages.
If you import demo content, product sidebar will be added for product detail pages.
You can add more sidebars if you want.

Widget Area

A widget area is a container that holds widgets. Widgets should go inside a widget area to be able to display on the site. Sidebar is also one of widget areas. Wolmart supports sidebar as a widget area.

The theme provides some default sidebars – shop sidebar for shop page , blog sidebar for blog page, store sidebar for multi-vendor plugins.

To see widget area, please visit Appearance > Widgets in admin’s main menu.

Register a new sidebar by using Sidebars Builder

Wolmart supports some default sidebars such as shop sidebar, blog sidebar, multi-vendor plugin’s store sidebar.

However, if you want more sidebars, the theme allows you to register new sidebar.

Step 1. Please go to sidebars builder page in Wolmart > Sidebars menu.

Step 2. Please click “Add New Sidebar” button in top right area to register a new sidebar.

Step 3. Please enter your new sidebar’s name on input field.

Step 4. Please go to Apperance > Widgets page, and drag some widgets to your new sidebar as you need.

Setup sidebars in Layout Builder

Wolmart Layout Builder provides an easy way to display sidebars in any pages. To display sidebar in home page, please see the following guide.

Step 1. Please go to Wolmart > Layout Builder in admin menu.

Step 2. Please select a layout which you want to display sidebar. You can also create a layout and set display condition. Please see about Layout Builder.

Step 3. please select the sidebar you have been made, and set your sidebar width in pixels or rem, or %, etc. The sidebar can be displayed in classic or off-canvas mode.

Step 4. By changing options of layout’s display conditions, you can display the sidebar anywhere you want.

Please select “All shop pages” if you want to display the sidebar in shop page, or select specific product categories if you want.

Select “all shop pages” in display condition.

Sidebar widgets provided by Wolmart

Wolmart provides a wide array of custom widgets in addition to the default widgets WordPress offers. All widgets are found in the Appearance > Widgets tab on your WP admin sidebar. There are various customization options and fields for each individual widget, and they are all self explanatory. Here are widgets that our Theme offers.

1. Wolmart – Block

You could build blocks using supported block builder and select it in Wolmart Block widget.

2. Wolmart – Posts

Wolmart Posts widget is to display some widget-typed posts ordered by ID, date and etc.

3. Wolmart – Price Filter

Wolmart Price Filter is a widget to display list of price to filter products by price.

4. Wolmart – Products

Wolmart Products widget is to display some widget-typed products ordered by ID, date and etc.

Products are shown in sidebar

5. Wolmart – Product Brands

Wolmart Product Brands widget is a widget to display product brands in list.

Product brands are shown in sidebar.

6. Wolmart – Filter Clean

It cleans all filters in shop page. It’s simple and easy to use. Please refer to below image.
