There are 3 ways to update UDesign. The first method is UDesign\u2019s  one click update<\/code> and the 2nd<\/sup> method is Manual updates<\/code> and the 3rd<\/sup> is to use Envato Market WordPress Plugin<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Before Update<\/strong>
After updating the theme, all of your contents such as pages, options, images and posts will never be lost or erased by doing this.
However, any customization to the theme\u2019s core files and language files will be lost. So you need child theme to customize the theme and backup the language file if you have translated theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method 1 : Update using one Click Update feature<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We introduced a method to update theme whenever we release new version of theme. Using this feature, you can update UDesign theme whenever new version is released so easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method 2 : Manual Update<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In order to update theme manually, you need to download theme files from Themeforest. If you are not sure how to download theme files from themeforest, please read our article here.
Once you download the new version of theme, you can choose either a way using FTP and a way using WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.) Update using FTP<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
  1. Go to wp-content > themes<\/code> and backup your udesign theme folder. After backing up, simply delete it.<\/li>
  2. Unzip udesign.zip<\/code> from the package you downloaded from Themeforest, and get udesign theme folder.<\/li>
  3. Drag and drop the new udesign theme folder into wp-content > themes<\/code> location.<\/li>
  4. Don\u2019t forget to update included plugins.<\/li>
  5. Navigate Appearance > Themes<\/code> on WordPress admin and click again Save Changes<\/code> button.<\/li>
  6. Finally, if you have translated theme, don\u2019t forget to get lang folder from backed up and place it on the same directory as an old lang folder. If not, you will not have translated theme.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    2.) Update using WordPress Admin<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
    1. Please deactivate the current UDesign theme in appearance>themes<\/code>.<\/li>
    2. After deactivate the current UDesign theme, simply delete the udesign theme. Your content will be lost. joking! It will never be lost.<\/li>
    3. Get udesign.zip<\/code> file from the package you download from Themeforest and simply upload it. To do it, navigate to Appearance\/Themes<\/code> and click Install Themes<\/code> and upload zip file on it.<\/li>
    4. After upload it, in Appearance > Themes<\/code>, activate udesign theme.<\/li>
    5. Don\u2019t forget upload plugins, too. For more details, please read our article to update plugins here<\/a>.<\/li>
    6. Please go to Appearance > Theme Options<\/code> in admin area and click Save Changes<\/code> again.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Method 3 : Update using Envato Market WordPress Plugin<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      You can update the theme automatically using Envato Market WordPress Plugin<\/code>. Envato Market plugin lets you install WordPress theme and plugins from  Themeforest and CodeCanyon using Envato Market API with a secure OAuth token.
